Promoting the European Horizon 2020 "MEnS" project update event

Delivering a European Portable Building Energy Performance Skills Platform; a MEnS project update
MEns (Meeting of Energy Professional Skills) - or 'Delivering a European Portable Building Energy Performance Skills Platform' - is a European Horizon 2020 project led by Daniel Melandri.

A progress and coordination meeting was held today in London; at which I produced the photography, assisted event networking, and will be producing a coordinating summary.

You van view a gallery of the event on Flickr.

It was encouraging to see such excitement among building professionals foe earning meaningful qualifications for designing and realising near zero energy buildings in the pilot training courses outlined in the workshop.

So it will be interesting how the project can help scale-up courses to provide a career advantage within the building sector across Europe.

For more details about the project, contact the MEnS project coordinator Daniela Melandri.

A roasting hot day photographing the Virgin London Marathon

In all that sun, and being such a long day, it’s something of a blur, but my photo of Vince Ting of Wimbledon Windmilers seems pretty pin sharp.
Even taking many, many thousands of pictures on the day I think Vince was the only runner I recognised (and gave encouragement too after this shot)!
The photo is among many that can be order form the Marathonfoto website.

A brilliant, if rather damp, first Virgin London Marathon

"Perhaps never to date has photographer had been able to catch of a so clear way all the dramatic quality of the moment at issue."

Blowing customers' minds - with personalised business cards

Commenting on the BT Business Blog has produced some nice publicity ...

I've passed out almost all my Moo Cards now, so I'd better get some more - and if any others would like some, just get in contact.

Massive investments are being made in the skiing market - with spin-offs into gourmet sports and nature tourism in the Spanish Pyreneés.

Very agreeable and hospitable it all is!
